Can you get into trouble for a saying you'll buy wine for someone underage?
There's this girl at my work and she keeps asking me to buy her liquor. I told her several times that I would buy her virgin liquor. And there were several times where I said I would buy her wine. I didn't mean it and don't know why I said it, she's 19. I think she wants to get me into trouble. I mean for just saying it.

- Yes, you can get in trouble for buying a minor any alcoholic beverage. If shes does something stupid when drunk and gets hurt, you could get in trouble for supplying the alcohol.
- I THINK if the authorities believe you have the intent of purchasing alcohol for a minor then you probably could get busted, the same way they bust hookers.
- is she a friend ?? if she is a good friend a loyal buy it for her .. and if she is blond don't (:
- I don't know, but I honestly kind of doubt it. I mean, I see the point that the guy above me was making and that could be true, but honestly I don't think they can do anything to you for SAYING it. Because saying something and having actual INTENT to do something are still two totally different things and I don't know if they can even bust you for intent. I doubt it though. I'd just stop saying it either way, especially if you think she's trying to get you in trouble, then you wouldn't even want her thinking that you'd actually do it anyway because she's a byyytch!
- Unless she's undercover, you'll be okay saying you'll buy it, but never do. If you actually purchase it and the cops are around, you'll be busted.
- so i im thinking ur trying to be cool u should have told her know no blame ur self before u blame her shut up. 18year ld alcholic and proud of it.
- You can get in BIG trouble for buying alcohol for a minor. You cant get in trouble for saying it but I would stop telling her your gonna do it. Depending on what state you live in the laws could be different. You dont want anything to do with that. Even non alcoholic beer you have to be 21 to drink so don't let her fool you into thinking that your buying her something that is"virgin" I have been bartending for 10 years and havent come across a virgin liquor yet. The mixes are non alcoholic and thats it.
- nope.. no one is worth going to the pokey for contributing to the deliquency of a minor. there's a fine... and it goes on your record.. ain't worth it. tell her to wait.. or pester one of her friends.. at home.. work is no place for anything other than work. she needs to get real.
